Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age by October 20, 2025

Must possess a high school diploma or GED by October 20, 2025

Must have a valid unrestricted unrestricted drivers license for at least 2 years as of October 20, 2025

Must complete the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) as offered by Tucson Fire May 27, 2025 - August 10, 2025 OR obtain a current CPAT card earned between May 3, 2025 - August 10, 2025
3 Step Application Process
Step 1: Apply with
City of Tucson by:
June 14, 2025 - 5:00 pm MT (Mandatory)
Step 2: Complete Testing and Video Interview with Public Safety Answers by:
June 20, 2025 - 8:00 pm MT (Mandatory)
Use of AI tools for any portion of the testing process is strictly prohibited. Detection methods will be used and if AI use is identified, you may be disqualified.
Step 3: Attend Fire Interview Seminar Hosted by Tucson Fire Department
June 28, 2025 (Highly Recommended)
