Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age by July 1, 2024

Must possess a high school diploma or GED by July 1, 2024

Must have a valid unrestricted Class D drivers license for at least 2 years as of December 2024

Must complete the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) as offered by Tucson Fire OR obtain a current CPAT card earned on or after February 1, 2024
3 Step Application Process
Step 1: Apply with
City of Tucson by:
March 3, 2024 - 11:59 pm (Mandatory)
Step 2: Complete Testing and Video Interview with Public Safety Answers by:
March 10, 2024 - 11:59 pm (Mandatory)
Step 3: Register to attend
The Fire Interview Seminar hosted by Tucson Fire Department:
