Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming an emergency paramedic?  We're looking for like minded individuals who identify with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with citizens of our great community. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license. 

  • Possession of a current Arizona Emergency Paramedic or National Registry Paramedic certification.

  • Possession of a current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

  • Possession of a current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certification. 

  • Possession of current CPR certification at time of application.

2 Step Application Process

Step 1: Apply with Tempe by:
February 22, 2024 - 11:59 p.m. (Mandatory)
NOTE: After clicking Apply button, you must enter "Paramedic" in search bar to find the city Application

Step 2: Complete Testing and Video Interview with Public Safety Answers by:
February 29, 2024 - 11:59 pm MST* (Mandatory)


* Link to test will be provided by the City to those candidates that have completed an application before February 22, 2024, at 11:59 pm

Test fee of $50 required. Financial hardship requests can be sent to:
