Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming a Firefighter Paramedic?  We're looking for like minded individuals who identifies with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with citizens of our great community. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Valid state driver's license

  • American Heart Association Advance Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Pediatric Life Support Certification at time of hire

  • Either International Trauma Life Support or Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support Certification at time of hire

  • MO Paramedic License at time of hire

  • Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) at time of hire

  • MO Fire Fighter I & II (Pro Board and IFSAC Acceptable) at time of hire

2 Step Application Process

Step 1: Apply with City of St. Charles by:
February 13, 2026 - 11:59 pm CT

Step 2: Complete Testing and Video Interview with Public Safety Answers by:
February 16, 2026 - 5:00 pm CT
