Minimum Qualifications

​​​​​

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent AND 2 years of formal training beyond high school​​

  • Must possess a valid driver's license​

  • Licensed Firefighter II in the state of Minnesota​ and including EMT Basic certification by the National Registry

  • National Registered Paramedic Certification (Fire I & II not required if Paramedic)​​

2 Step Application Process

Step 1: Apply with City of Red Wing by
April 27, 2026 - 4:30 pm 

Step 2: Test with Public Safety Answers by
April 29, 2026 - 8:00 pm CST
