Minimum Requirements

Must possess education equivalent to an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in fire science, emergency medicine, public administration, fire prevention, health sciences, or a closely related field

A least seven years of increasingly responsible experience in Fire or EMS, including four years at a Chief Officer Level position

HazMat Incident Command
-
DPSST Safety Officer Certification or equivalent

NFPA Fire Officer II
-
State of Oregon certification as Instructor II

Knowledge of, and experience with Incident Command System (ICS) practices and emergency planning

Valid Oregon driver's license and an acceptable driving record that meets the District's standard
