Anchor 1

Minimum Requirements

  • Must possess education equivalent to an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in fire science, emergency medicine, public administration, fire prevention, health sciences, or a closely related field

  • A least seven years of increasingly responsible experience in Fire or EMS, including four years at a Chief  Officer Level position

  • HazMat Incident Command

  • DPSST Safety Officer Certification or equivalent

  • NFPA Fire Officer II

  • State of Oregon certification as Instructor II

  • Knowledge of, and experience with Incident Command System (ICS) practices and emergency planning

  • Valid Oregon driver's license and an acceptable driving record that meets the District's standard
