Now Hiring Dual Role Firefighter EMT,  Firefighter Paramedic, and Single Role Paramedics

Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming a firefighter or paramedic?  We're looking for like minded individuals who identify with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with citizens of our great community.

Minimum Requirements

DUAL ROLE FIREFIGHTER EMT

​​​

  • At least 18 years old

  • US Citizen or lawfully able to work in the US

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to read and speak English

  • Possession of a current certification as a current Oregon Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) certification or higher; or National Registry certification as a EMT-Basic or higher and the ability to qualify for State of Oregon reciprocity; or possession of EMT-B or higher from another state and be able to qualify for State of Oregon reciprocity; or possess the ability and qualifications to obtain an Oregon EMT-B by the date of hire.

  • Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) for Fire Fighter 1 or equivalent

  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

  • Current CPAT

DUAL ROLE FIREFIGHTER PARAMEDIC

​​​​​

  • At least 18 years old

  • US Citizen or lawfully able to work in the US

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to read and speak English

  • Current certification as a Paramedic. This can be satisfied by a certification as an Oregon Paramedic, or National Registry certification as a Paramedic and the ability to qualify for State of Oregon reciprocity, or possession of EMT-P from another state and be able to qualify for State of Oregon reciprocity; or possess the ability and qualifications to obtain an Oregon EMT-P by the date of hire

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date

  • Current CPAT

  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

  • Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) for Fire Fighter 1 or equivalent

SINGLE ROLE PARAMEDIC

  • ​At least 18 years old

  • Graduate from an accredited high school or successful completion of a General Education Development Test (GED)

  • Current certification as an Oregon Paramedic, or National Registry certification as a Paramedic and the ability to qualify for State of Oregon reciprocity, or possession of EMT-P from another state and be able to qualify for State of Oregon reciprocity; or possess the ability and qualifications to obtain an Oregon EMT-P by the date of hire

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date

  • Driver's license valid in the State of Oregon, or ability to obtain by date of hire, with an acceptable driving record
