Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming a firefighter EMT or paramedic?  We're looking for like minded individuals who identify with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with citizens of our great community. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age by application date.

  • ​Must be a US Citizen or Legal Resident.

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

  • Must have certification(s) that fall into one of the following 3 categories at the time of applications:

    • TCFP Basic Firefighter and DSHS/NREMT EMT Basic or higher

    • TCFP Basic Firefighter and DSHS/NREMT Paramedic

    • DSHS/NREMT Paramedic

2 Step Application Process

Step 1: Apply with
McKinney Fire Department by:
December 31, 2024 - 11:59 pm (Mandatory)

Step 2: Complete Testing and Video Interview with Public Safety Answers by:
December 31, 2024 - 11:59 pm (Mandatory)
