Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming a firefighter? We're looking for like minded individuals who identify with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with citizens of our great community.
Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age by application date

​Must be a US Citizen or Legal Resident

Must have a high school diploma or GED
-
Applicants must have certification(s) that fall into one of the following 3 categories at the time of application.
Preference will be given to applicants in the following order:-
TCFP Firefighter with Texas DSHS Paramedic or NREMT Paramedic

Texas DSHS Paramedic or NREMT Paramedic only
-
TCFP Firefighter with Texas DSHS EMT or NREMT EMT

Apply with McKinney Fire Department by:
December 12, 2025 - 11:59 pm
* Selected applicants will be provided a link by the City of McKinney to test with
Public Safety Answers.
* Applicants who have tested in the past 6 months with Public Safety Answers will not be allowed to retest but must complete video interview.
