Minimum Qualifications

​​​​​

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older at the time of application​

​

  • Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalency

​​

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

 

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

​​

  • Must possess a valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate at the time of hire

​

  • Must possess a current (less than 12 months old) Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) certification by the Intern Academy Readiness Assessment on November 1, 2025

2 Step Application Process

Step 1: Must apply with City of Maricopa by
October 24, 2025 - 5:00 pm MT

Step 2: Test with Public Safety Answers by
October 27, 2025 - 8:00 pm MT

Intern Academy: November 1-2, 2025
Oral Board: To be determined
