Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming a EMT?  We're looking for like minded individuals who identifies with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with citizens of our great community. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Valid New Mexico Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic, Intermediate (Advanced), or Paramedic license, OR can obtain the NM EMT Basic, Intermediate (Advanced), or Paramedic license by end of EMS Academy

2 Step Application Process

Step 1: Apply with City of Las Cruces by:
November 17, 2025 - 11:59 pm MT
(Mandatory)
 

Step 2: Complete Testing and Video Interview with Public Safety Answers by:
November 20, 2025 - 11:59 pm MT
(Mandatory)

Applicants meeting requirements will be provided the test link by the department.
