Minimum Qualifications

Must have Ten (10) years of experience in the fire service with a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience at a level equivalent to Division/Battalion Chief in the Lansing Fire Department

Must possess NIMS ICS Certifications I100, I200, I300, I400
-
Must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Safety, Fire Science, or a closely related field

Must have supplemented your degree with courses in firefighting technology, fire administration, and current and progressive concepts for the delivery of effective, high-quality Emergency Medical Services

Must possess, or able to obtain, a State of Michigan driver's license

Must have budgeting, policy/procedure review and fire data collection experience
