Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age
-
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
-
Must possess, or able to obtain before hire date, Valid Class E Driver's License with proof of automobile insurance

State of Florida Certified Firefighter
-
State of Florida Certified Paramedic OR State of Florida Certified EMT in the FINAL semester of Paramedic School (if applicable)

Must have completed an approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (Minimum 16 hours)

Must possess, or able to obtain by time of hire, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross Basic Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals - CPR/AED certification

American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (required at date of hire for Paramedics)

Acceptable background and driving record

No tobacco products used within one year of application

Must possess a current Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) from the National Testing Network (not required for application submission but must be taken within 6 months of hire date)
