Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming a firefighter?  We're looking for like- minded individuals who identify with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with the citizens of our great community.

Minimum Qualifications

​​​​​​

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Must possess, or able to obtain before hire date, Valid Class E Driver's License with proof of automobile insurance

  • State of Florida Certified Firefighter

  • State of Florida Certified EMT

  • Must have completed an approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (Minimum 16 hours)

  • Must possess, or able to obtain by time of hire, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross Basic Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals - CPR/AED certification

  • Acceptable background and driving record

  • No tobacco products used within one year of application

  • Current Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) from the National Testing Network (valid at date of hire)
