Minimum Qualifications

​​​

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in accordance with the City's Civil Service

  • Basic Firefighter with Paramedic certification or be enrolled in a Paramedic course. Candidate must be within 3 months of eligibility to test for Paramedic certification with the State of Texas or National Registry. Selected candidates must have Paramedic certification within 6 months of hire.

  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License

Must complete testing with Public Safety Answers by
November 16, 2023 - 11:59pm 

 

** TO ALL VERTERANS: You may be eligible for five (5) veterans' bonus points to be added to a passing score.  To qualify for the bonus points you must email a copy of your DD214 or NGB22 or other documentation proving your veteran status to civilservice@haltomcitytx.com before testing begins on October 27th. You must also check the veteran box on the minimum/optimal requirements page.
