Minimum Qualifications
Recruit Firefighter

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must have a high school diploma or GED
​

Must have a valid driver's license
​

Must possess, or able to obtain, State or National Registry EMT certification by March 1, 2026​

Must have, or can attain by March 1, 2026, a Firefighter I & II certification through a state, federal, or accredited agency (ex:AZ, IFSAC, DOD, ProBoard)

Assessment Day December 8th and 9th

Chiefs’ interviews Weeks of January 5th

Pre-academy meeting January 23rd

GFR academy starts March 30th
