Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming a firefighter?  We're looking for like minded individuals who identifies with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with citizens of our great community.

Minimum Requirements

  • ​​​​​Must be authorized to work in the United States legally

  • Minimum age of 18 years

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Valid driver's license

  • Certified Arizona State Firefighter I & II or IFSAC Firefighter I & II or course work showing educational requirements meeting the current version of NFPA 1001

  • Nationally registered or Arizona State Certification at a minimum of EMT Basic level 

  • At least 1 year of experience as a full-time firefighter

  • CPAT within the last 12 month or can be obtained before June 18, 2026

Testing fee for first 40 applicants will be paid by the department
