Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

EVOC (16-hour) Certificate issued by a certified Florida agency
-
Current, valid Firefighter Certificate of Compliance, Certificate of Statutory Compliance, or Certificate of Training issued by the State of Florida
-
State of Florida EMT License or Paramedic License
-
BLS for Healthcare Providers offered by Red Cross (CPR and AED) *OR American Heart Association – BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED)
-
Ability to obtain Broward College administered Water Survival Exercise (Swim Test) by close of application

Ability to obtain Candidate Physical ability test (CPAT) within 12 months prior to close of application
