Minimum Qualifications

Between the ages of 18 and 35, not having reached your 36th birthday by date of hire (January 4, 2027)

High school diploma or GED by date of hire (January 4, 2027)

Texas driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of date of hire

Background check with no felonies
2-Step Process
Step 1: Apply with the City of Midland
by September 4, 2026 - 11:59 pm CT (MANDATORY)
Step 2: Test with Public Safety Answers by September 7, 2026 - 11:59pm CT (MANDATORY)
$50 Testing Fee
Interviews: November 2-6, 2026
All Candidates will be required to complete a physical agility exam
September 19, 2026.
