Ready to fulfill your dreams of becoming a Firefighter - EMT?  We're looking for like minded individuals who identify with our ideals and can carry out our mission statement in each and every interaction with citizens of our great community. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must possess Firefighter 1 & 2 Certifications (Certified Paramedics do not need this requirement as Department will send to the Academy

  • Must possess an EMT-B Certification​

  • Must be between 18 and 39 years of age

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Current CPAT card required at time of conditional offer

  • No CPAT required for Lateral Firefighters

2 Step Application Process

Step 1: Download City of Hobart Application*

Step 2: Upload City Application, Test and Complete Video Interview with
Public Safety Answers by:
September 27, 2024  08:00 pm EST

* You will be required to upload your completed city application before being allowed to test.
