Minimum Qualifications
Recruit Firefighter

​​​Must be authorized to work in the United States legally

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
-
Must possess a valid Driver's License
-
Must possess a valid CPAT within last 12 months or ability to obtain by hire date.

Lateral Firefighter
​All Recruit Firefighter Qualifications Plus​​​​

Must possess Certified Arizona State Firefighter I and II, or IFSAC Firefighter I and II, or course work showing educational requirements meeting the current version of NFPA 1001
-
Must possess a Nationally Registered or Arizona State Certification at a minimum of EMT Basic Level
-
Must have at least 1 year of experience as a full-time Firefighter
